With the LR series, Liebherr offers a well-balanced programme of lattice boom crawler cranes. In the class below-300 metric tons, low transport weights, rapid self-assembly, optimum load capacity values across the entire working range and comprehensive operating information are among these cranes' main functional features.
For its larger crawler cranes with lifting capacities up to 1,350 metric tons, Liebherr also offers a wide range of multifunctional jib systems. These cranes can reach heights of up to 223 m at the hook and working radii of up to 152 m, but retain their outstanding manoeuvrability thanks to innovative solutions for the handling of extremely high ballast weights. The LR series is completed by the hydraulic duty cycle crawler cranes range (HS series), which is similar to the LR series in design. The machines have been developed for the most diverse material handling operations. This series comprises 6 models with load capacities between 35 and 200 metric tons.

HIGH PERFORMANCE
Comansa luffing-jib cranes are in demand, for high rise buildings on congested sites. To obtain the necessary high performance in material handling for high rise buildings, the new LCL-500 uses frequency controlled drives rated at 110 kW on both luffing and hoist movement.
With the Comansa frequency control, not only the maximum speed with any permissible load is possible, but also ultra-low speeds in the positioning mode. In this mode the frequency controlled system can drive thru the zero point, without applying the brake. Furthermore, for more efficiency of the system and a comfortable “feel” of the load, the control lever will adapt automatically its full control range to the given loads.
For high-rise buildings, the drum of our new 110 kW hoist winch has a standard cable capacity of 940m (3,083ft.). Optionally under consultation, a bigger drum is available with a cable capacity of 1,400m (4,593ft.). This capacity drum has been engineered for special high projects.

Favelle Favco cranes are well known as high speed diesel hydraulic luffing cranes. The M-series crane sizes range from 60 metre tonnes to 2000 metre tonnes.
The reputation of this series, with a track record of building 9 out of 10 of the worlds tallest buildings, is indisputable. It is also especially suitable for remote areas where electricity is not readily available.
The latest introduction to our model lineup is the MK series which is the combination of the best of Favelle Favco and Kroll technologies. The MK series delivers the loadcharts from the M-series whilst using the winch technology from Kroll
Applications
- Dam Building
- Bridge Building
- Shipyards
- Power Plants
- High Rise Structures
M Series are for Favelle Favco Diesel Hydraulic Luffing Cranes:

These cranes have been designed for work on particularly high buildings or in extremely restricted spaces.
A new development is the option of fitting these cranes with a horizontal load path. When the jib is moved, the hoist gear is controlled in such a way as to ensure that the hook travels horizontally.
These luffing-jib cranes can avoid any obstruction and slew through 360° under load. Their small slewing radii and raised jib angles of 15 to 70°, even when not in operation, make these cranes particularly advantageous in operations on tight sites containing numerous cranes with overlapping slewing areas.
|
|
|
The MR crane range is specifically suited for congested construction sites. The jib can be luffed to almost vertical attaining excellent underhook heights and obstacle avoidance. The interchangeable base provides the option of multiple installation configurations, including climbing crane and traveling chassis installations. High performance slewing and hoisting equipment provide precise control of loads throughout the entire working radius.

For several uses Huisman-Itrec produces Offshore cranes. Key feature of this type of crane is the range to the seabed; up to over 3000m is possible.
We make a difference between the Pedestal Mounted Offshore Cranes and the Offshore Mast Cranes.
The Mastcranes are the 'heavy duty' deep water type of cranes, while the Pedestal Mounted Offshore Crane is an auxiliary crane specially made for pipe- and equipment handling on rigs.
Limited deep water capabilities are also possible.
|
|
The SA cranes are available for applications like buoy handling and/or pipe handling.
The crane prime mover is either electric-hydraulic or diesel-hydraulic. EX proof systems are available. The hydraulic system is of a closed type technology with individual circuits for each crane function.

A crane is an important investment and has a long life. It order to maintain its function and performance, the mechanics are serviced regularly and replaced with new parts if necessary. But what about the safety system? The rated capacity indicator (RCI) watches that the crane is never overloaded and stays free from accidents. The old system should be replaced by a new one if in doubt to guarantee safety of the crane at all times.
HIRSCHMANN maestro meets these requirements quickly and at low cost. Developed by PAT, this new system offers maximum reliability using state-of-the-art technology and can process the data of many old PAT systems .
Therefore the RCI does not need to be reprogrammed and calibrated, which saves a lot of time and money.
Advantages
Existing information and proven functions are adopted and current standards kept
There is no data loss and therefore no time-consuming, expensive reprogramming and realignment of the crane
The sensors can be set directly on the console, no special device is necessary
The wiring and the length/angle encoders of the old system as well as the anti-two block switch of the old system can usually be used
