MAGNETIC FILTERS
Goudsmit magnetic filters are able to remove ferrous particles of only 30 microns in size from fluids and powders transported under pressure. The filters have a wide range of applications like the foodstuffs- pharma-, and ceramic industry, but the principle is always the same. The powderful Neoflux® magnetic bars penetrate deep into the product so that they retain even the smallest ferrous particles. The bars can be removed from the product flow for cleaning by lifting the lid. Various test have confirmed that the powerful GSN 50 magnet can also catch stainless steel scrapings. These particles are so small that they would even escape a metal detector.

| LIQUIMAG filter magnets were specifically designed and built to remove even the tiniest magnetic metal particles from many different kinds of liquid and paste products. |

(PNEUMATIC)MAGNETIC SHEET SEPARATORS
Goudsmit's very powerful sheet separators loosen, lift and separate sticky or oily steel sheets from a stack in rapid succession.
- They remove the sheets systematically, one by one to ensure a smooth
production process.
- They prevent tool and die damage by eliminating double blank problems.
- Suitable for the separation of sheets of almost any length, width or shape,
inlcuding round and asymmetrical products.
- The permanent magnetic power does not decrease and is guaranteed for several
decades.
- Expensive compressed air systems are no longer required to separate the steel
sheets as separating magnets will do the job at a much lower cost.
- Pneumatic version can be switched on and off pneumatically and can be
adjusted in height and also the magnetic field's spread force can easily be
adjusted.

|
They facilitate the manual gripping of sheet metals and avoid the double catch on dépileuse.
PRODUCTIVITY AND SAFETY:
The sheet metal blanks or bands piled up tend to adhere the ones aus others, causing wastes of time during their gripping.
The separators allow them "to float". Their gripping is very easy, moreover one eliminates the risks from simultaneous sending of two blanks under the cutting tool.
PRINCIPLE:
Sheet metals are locally induced with the same polarity as the poles NR and S of the separator. The zones thus polarized of the same name, push back and cause the separation of sheet metals. The magnetic field created causes a space between the blanks. This space is increasingly important to the top of the battery cell.
When the operator takes the first blank, the second takes its place with the higher part of the separator. |
|
| The Meech Model 958 Sheet Separator system has been designed to allow efficient operation of automatic sheet feeders by eliminating static charges and separating the sheets with a controlled blade of ionised air. The Model 958 system comprises one or more full flow Meech ionising air curtains on adjustable brackets, which are mounted on the cross rod of the feeder. The Model 957 air curtains incorporate Model 910 static elimination bars, which are driven by a Model 904 power supply (refer also to Models 904, 910 and 957 data sheets). The air supply should be equipped with a pressure regulator and 5 micron filter. |
|
Sheet separators were specially developed to permit easy and uninterrupted removal of steel sheets stacked horizontally or vertically. No more prying apart of greasy or oily sheets.
A sheet separator saves money. Sometimes compressed air is used as a sheet separator. Air is very expensive. Properly designed magnet sheet separators do the same job free from ongoing costs.

| A tube magnet is constructed of cylindrical permanent magnets contained within a stainless steel tube. The magnetic elements can be ferrite or ‘Rare Earth’. Rare Earth magnets develop very high magnetic field strengths and gradients enabling the extraction of the very smallest particle of iron or rust. Tube Magnets are very versatile and suitable for use with either dry or wet materials. A Tube Magnet can be used singly for quality control purposes or in multiples within a process, or built into magnetic traps for liquid lines or into grates for dry processes. |

| In many areas a quick analysis of the materials used is necessary. Examples here include sorting beverage cans made of aluminium or tin, or the differentiation of pipes made of different metals which have been manufactured in the same plant. Turck has developed an analogue inductive sensor for this purpose that not only processes the amplitude signal but also the phase signal. Both signals are output as analogue values and can be processed mathematically with the programmable I/O systems BL20 or BL67. The great advantage of this inductive analogue measurement is the distance independent detection of metals. |
|
Metal detection technology is used primarily in the foodstuffs and also the hygiene, paper, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and wood industries to protect people and the machines. The highly sensitive metal detectors recognise not only magnetic and non-magnetic metals, but also very small stainless steel parts with a high specific resistance. With our search heads, we can also realise high speeds and detection through metal films.

The RMS series of tunnel metal detectors (with circular aperture) are mainly used for inspecting bulk materials in pipeline systems (gravity or airborne feed). They are also often used in the ejection area of production machines to identify rejects or broken tools.
RMS metal detectors detect all magnetic and non-magnetic metals (steel, stainless steel, aluminium etc ), even those which may be contained in the product. If metal is detected a signal is sent to the process controller or a flap is activated to remove the contaminant.
The RMS metal detector range is mainly used in industries where hygiene standards are less important. They are used to inspect products which have little or no product effect.
The size of the metal detector depends on the application and nominal width of the pipeline. |

| GF PRIMUS metal separation systems remove magnetic and non-magnetic metal particles (steel, stainless steel, aluminium etc) from pneumatically conveyed bulk materials such as granulates and reground material. Metal contaminants (and inclusions) are removed by means of a reject flap (‘Quick Flap System’) without any interruption to the material flow, even at high flow rates.. Contaminated material is rejected into a container. The reject container is emptied automatically. The GF PRIMUS metal separation system is primarily used in industries where hygiene standards are less important. It is used for inspecting dry bulk materials. |
