ADVANCED DRIVING... with our new Heavy Duty Driven Linear System
High loads, demanding duty cycles, hostile operating conditions and ease of installation are the criteria around which Hepco's new Heavy Duty Driven Linear System (HDLS) was designed.
The distinct operating benefits which its features provide over conventional re-circulating systems are certainly accentuated by arduous application. Overhead gantries and steel beam drilling machines are typical examples of where our HDLS system excels.
Now this versatile family of Heavy Duty components has been extended to include a new driven option, the Heavy Duty Driven Linear System. This complements the rack and pinion drive option already available. The new addition is a belt-driven system with two bearing options - 64mm diameter for high load applications and 95mm for loads up to 40kN.
High and super high loads
So what does it comprise? The base unit incorporates single edge commercial 'V' slides mounted onto the beam with the slides positioned at the outer beam edges. Between the two slides is a continuous 50mm wide AT20 belt, firmly attached to the moving carriage. And if the application is really tough, a 75mm wide belt can be specified.

MACRON Modular Belt Driven Linear Actuators and Linear Drives are flexible positioning systems consisting of a high speed belt drive and self-supporting, wear resistant aluminum profiles providing precise linear motion in both horizontal and vertical operation.
Superior Performance
MACRON Linear Actuators and Linear Drives are designed for long service life and have been tested at full capacity for thousands of cycles to ensure trouble free operation.
The linear actuator housings are cast from rugged yet lightweight aluminum. The belt drive assembly connects the motor to the actuator with a highly durable steel reinforced polyurethane composite timing belt. Both lightweight and flexible, the belt has an extremely high tensile strength and trapezoidal-shaped teeth. The synchronous, pre-tensioned toothed timing belt to runs two geared pulleys mounted at each end of the actuator profile. One pulley acts as the driving gear, and the other as the driven gear.
A motor coupled to the drive pulley converts rotary torque to tangential force. The belt is available in several widths up to 50mm. This belt drive design offers superior performance over the typical ball screw, lead screw, or acme screw linear actuator including superior rigidity, high moment loads and faster speeds. Travel is limited in length only by the actuator profile itself.
When selecting an actuator, important specifications to consider include length of travel, rated load, positional accuracy and maximum rated speed. MACRON Linear Actuators feature travel up to 500 ft., loads to 10,000 lbs., accuracy to +/- 0.013 and speeds of up to 600 inches per second.

MODEL SERIES - MTR3L/ MTS3L
LINEAR TRAVEL - 8 / 13 mm & ( 0.03 / 0.04 mm /step )
Design - Mtr3L / MTS3L is a linear synchronous/ stepper motor of the permanent magnet type with two stator windings, for AC / DC supply . Phase displacement of the excitation current is achieved by connecting a capacitor in series with one of the stator windings in synchronous motors. Axial movement is determined by the resulting circular rotating field. Electrical reversal of the axial movement is effected by means of a single-pole changeover switch. The 12pole rotor causes to & fro when motor is energised.

With the eLINE eCKK and eCKR Compact Modules, Rexroth has considerably simplified selection, assembly and above all start-up for users.
The stepping motor, already mounted, with positioning control has 16 freely programmable positions. For easy start up of the axis an easy-to-use communication software (download under construction) and pre-configured parameter files are available for download. By means of digital inputs, the eLINE Compact Module communicates with higher-level control systems. The axes also work in stand-alone mode without an additional PLC. The user operates the linear systems manually in jog mode and can enter destination positions easily using a Teach function.
The eLINE eCKK Compact Modules with eLINE Ball Screw Assemblies and the eCKR with a toothed belt have exactly the same main dimensions and connection dimensions as the well established standard Compact Modules from Rexroth. The predefined raster lengths with clearly assigned order numbers simplify the selection from the numerous strokes and lengths.
Two integrated back-lash free eLINE Ball Rail Systems ensure optimum running of the carriage. In hybrid technology, they combine the advantage of the low weight of aluminum with the hardness of the steel running surfaces admitted. The eLINE Compact Modules thus combine high traversing speed with high precision and low running noise over lengths of up to 1,440 mm.
The eLINE Compact Modules in size 90, lubricated for the duration of their usable life, move workpieces with a weight of up to 15 kg.

The linear modules Super Wide Body Line provides a self-supporting frame to be easily integrated into the customer’s systems.
They are made of solid aluminium alloy profile with linear guide function.
A special treatment makes the rails’ surface hard like the hardened steel.
The sintered plastic compound of the roller lining resists to pollutants and preserve the rail from wear.
The combination hard alloy of the rails and plastic lining of the rollers provides a very silent running and a very long life (that is several years).
The bearings of the rollers can be life-time lubricated or equipped with lubricator (see catalogue).
The movement is activated through timing belt.
The standard accessories enable an easy and quick connection with motors and columns. Versatility, high competitive performances and prices are the key features of our Super Wide Body Line range.
