The Hybrid CG design is suitable for applications to produce high pressure steam or hot water in ranges from 3,450 - 60,000 lbs/hr (3.4 mm BTU - 60 mm BTU) output from 100 up to 400 PSI. This system is designed by HBC to combine the best technologies from the "old school" of biomass combustion and the latest advanced combustion control technologies. The new HBC chain grate-type stoker system permits a wide range of biomass fuels with high ash contents to be combusted in an efficient manner with the added advantage of automatic de-ashing. This combination is particularly suitable for heating applications in lumber dry kilns, veneer log vats, veneer dryers, greenhouses, factories, schools and office buildings. This combination enables these systems to provide a flexible and reliable operation utilizing a consistent "grade" of biomass waste with moisture contents ranging from 30 - 50%. The boiler vessel is a two pass hybrid design incorporating a water tubed boiler-type water membrane and a two-pass fire tube scotch marine vessel. This vessel's advantages over standard water tube boilers include much larger steam disengagement area providing high quality steam, larger steam storage capability for quicker response to sudden steam demand and much larger thermal storage that provides fast demand response times and safer operation.

The Hybrid PF design is suitable for applications to produce high pressure steam or hot water in ranges from 3,450 - 60,000 lbs/hr (3.4 mm BTU - 60 mm BTU) output from 100 up to 400 PSI. This system is designed by HBC to combine the best technologies from the "old school" of biomass combustion and the latest advanced combustion control technologies. HBC's Pneumatic Feed Stoker Systems have proven their ability to provide a very low turn-down rate making it particularly suitable for heating applications in lumber dry kilns, veneer log vats, veneer dryers, greenhouses and factories. This combination enables these systems to provide a flexible and reliable operation utilizing a consistent "grade" of biomass waste with low moisture contents ranging from 8 - 20%. Ash removal is a manual operation. The boiler vessel is a two pass hybrid design incorporating a water tubed boiler-type water membrane and a two-pass fire tube scotch marine vessel. OPTISPARK is the integrated control system developed in cooperation with Cannon AUTOMATA. It consists of two sections: an integrated control system and the user panel (Human Machine Interface).
The integrated control system performs many functions usually carried out by several components such as steam pressure, water level, alarm data acquisition, and it sees to thermal efficiency with the aid of the most advanced control systems: combustion control through electronic cams, control of the oxygen trim, of the flue gas re-circulation and of the air fan by means of an inverter.
The H.M.I. features are: synoptic screens with multi-language
texts; high-resolution colour touch screen display; real-time and historical tracking of selected process trends; alarm reports log; navigator system; multilanguage editor.
OPTISPARK connects to the modern communications systems: it sends SMS and e-mail in case of alarms event; it is displayed on both the Intranet and the Internet; it connects to supervision systems via OPC server.
OPTISPARK's main benefits are: the performance equivalent to the most advanced DCS systems at a lower cost, the optimised combustion, the reduction of environmental impact, of fuel and energy consumption, and of the time for starting and checking the boiler.

Dissolved gases such as oxygen and carbon dioxide must be reduced in Boiler Feed Water in order to prevent boilers and steam circuits from corrosion. The thermo-physical deaeration process is by far the most applied technology when a reduction of oxygen to only a few parts per billion is required. While part of the BONO Group, ARTES Ingegneria is in the business of Deaerators since 1958.
The degassing process is achieved in the deaerating tower where make-up water is atomised on a set of special packing that increases the contact surface between water and steam. Oxygen and carbon dioxide are stripped by the steam flow and vented through a calibrated orifice. Deaerated water is collected in the storage tank so as to assure an adequate “Hold-up” time for the boiler downstream.
According to the design capacity and steam flow, the deaerating tower may be arranged on a vertical or horizontal geometry so that, in the latter case, a larger surface of mass and heat transfer is implemented.
Deaerators are manufactured and marketed on BONO Artes’ own proprietary design in order to assure the complete responsibility of the concerned unit.

|
Feed Water Deaeratores
Packaged Deaerator systems, 5,000 to 200,000 PPH. Conditions feedwater to 0% CO2 and .005cc/liter of oxygen.
imageThe HURST "OXY-MISER" deaerating boiler feedwater system eliminates the need of expensive oxygen scavenger chemicals and also offers the following advantages:
* Removes carbon dioxide as well as oxygen.
* Raises the boiler feedwater temperature, eliminating thermal shock in boilers.
* Improves overall boiler room efficiency.
* Feedwater pumps are sized for each individual application - assuring total compatibility and optimum operation.
* Vessels are ASME Code constructed for 50 psig.
* Compact design means smaller boiler room requirements.

Bono Energia Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) have found application in a wide range of industries where the cogeneration of steam and electricity is required, in order to obtain an independent power plant and negligible emission levels.
Bono is able to produce HRSG from gas turbines (both water tube and fire tube) or from engines; heat recovery thermal fluid heaters; turn-key plants.
The standard design of our HRSG allows a "package" modular system (where the boiler and the economiser are pre-assembled), which can satisfy many different needs. In this way both the installation and the startup are faster, cheaper and safer. The proven design and the accessibility of the boilers allow high efficiency, minimal maintenance and cost-effective operation.
BONO ENERGIA can boast a fifty years long experience in this sector, and specifically in the heat recovery systems. Our boilers offer high quality levels and match the strictes international standards (API, ASME, PED, EN, DIN, R.I.Na., ABS, SQLO and more).
A team of over thirty engineers allows a continuous R&D effort, and makes possible to offer customised solutions to our clients.
