Deciding whether to use a digital drive or an analog drive really depends on what you need the drive to do. If you already have an intelligent controller that can handle events and it has enough I/O then either will work for your system. If your controller has limitations then a digital drive may be able to make up for them.

The ISC-1000 is a full-featured motion trajectory generator integrated with a high-performance, sinewave vector servo drive, designed exclusively for OEM use. The integration of a trajectory generator and a servo drive gives you the benefits of lower cost, smaller size, less cabling, fewer components, and higher reliability. This integration also provides a surprising performance enhancement.
For years, Teknic has proven the performance benefits of integrating position/velocity servo compensation with torque (current) control. With the ISC-1000, not only are the position, velocity and torque loops fully integrated and synchronized under the control of a dedicated DSP, but now the motion trajectories are also fully integrated. This integration had to be very carefully architected to deliver its full promise, and in the ISC-1000 the performance benefits are immediately evident. Ultra-smooth and quiet motion, extraordinary tracking accuracy and zero settling time, coupled with the advantages of lower cost, smaller size and higher reliability make the ISC-1000 an unbeatable choice for OEM motion control applications.
The ISC-1000 is fully compatible with ControlPoint - Teknic's distributed, open-architecture machine control system. ControlPoint offers the OEM machine designer a wide array of control components to allow interconnectivity (with standard Category 5 cabling) to just about any digital or analog sensor, stepper motor, digital servo drive, brushless servo motor, etc. from any manufacturer.

Brushed / Brushless D.C. Servo Controller
The RTC3000 and RTC4000 are miniature servo controllers with built-in amplifier for use in OEM equipment to control very small brushed or brushless DC servo motors.
The RTC3000 measures 3.68 x 1.815 x 0.35 inches and makes all connections on the long edge side. The RTC3000 operates from a 12 to 24 VDC source and switches 1 Amp of continuous and 3 Amp of peak current. The RTC4000 measures 1.18 x 2.15 x 0.50 inches. The RTC 4000 operates from a 12 to 24 VDC source and switches 3 Amp of continuous and 6 Amp of peak current.
The small motor controller outputs are protected from short circuit to each other, to supply and to ground. The 32K of internal program memory can be used by jumpering two signals together at the memory port. Alternatively, the port signals can be routed to an external memory module. Either way, the unit can be programmed in BASIC to operate stand-alone. Stand-alone programs can interact with all inputs and outputs of the RTC3000, affording total flexibility and a multitude of additional interface options. The controller communicates over RS232 and RS485. All signal ports have supply and ground to power external devices such as limit switches, encoders, hall sensors, etc.
Like the SmartMotor, both the RTC3000 and RTC4000 have an additional network port called AniLink that interfaces with a vast array of peripherals.

The trasducers supported are
Sin-Cos 1Vpp
EnDat (Absolute)
TTL + Hall sensor
It is possibile to connect the AZS servodrives only with the D.Electron CNC (Z32).
The propietary connection protocol permits to obtain the best motion control performaces, expecially for complex applications like interpolating machine tools.
The complete integration between the AZS servodrives and the Z32 CNC has been developed by D.Electron with the goal of inserting all the motion control algorithms inside the Z32 CNC (not inside the drive hardware). With this innovative solution D.Electron has obtained a drastic reduction of electronic hardware inside thr drives, ease of servicing and rump-up and better reliability.
The AZS servodrives dialogates with the Z32 CNC through the propietary digital protocol "Z-Star". The Z-Star link is realized with optical fibre connection, with a maximum switching frequency of 8KHz and a maximum of 32 digital axes controlled by a single Z32 CNC.
