200136 Seal-Leak Detection (SLD) Transducer
The 200136 SLD transducer incorporates highly reliable proximity probe technology observing a moving diaphragm to detect static pressure changes on the non-pressurized end of single or double seals or between tandem or dual seals. Changes in pressure indicate failing seals. The transducer is specifically designed for use with our 200135 TIM as part of a Trendmaster® Pro system for continuous monitoring of process pumps handling toxic or flammable materials in the chemical and hydrocarbon processing industries |

The most common use of ultrasonic noise detection is to locate leaks in pressurised systems. When air escapes through an orifice, the flow becomes turbulent. This vortex of air has an ultrasonic signature. This ultrasonic noise is characteristically identified as a "rushing" sound with very few discernable single audio tones. The Ultrasonic detector is specifically tuned to listen for this vortex tone.
Detection of leaks within high-pressure systems can be relatively simple. However, low-pressure systems require an addition technique. Very small leaks in fuel system "bag tanks" and welded seams etc can be too small to be detected using the ultrasonic vortex signature however, the leak can be amplified by adding a low viscosity liquid to the seam or joint. Small bubbles are generated at the location of the leak, these micro bubbles burst provoking ultrasonic emissions that are easily detected by the GE Druck AEROSPACE TOOL KIT. |

The leakage detecting device LEAK-DETECT traces leakages on pipework, couplings, connectors and fittings and thus improves the energy efficiency of compressed air systems.
The use of this device is particularly useful in places where the leak falls outside the non-audible ultrasonic range.
LEAK-DETECT detects escaping air with an ultrasonic receiver and converts the signal into an audio signal that is audible to the human ear. In addition, the result of the measurement is visible on a visual indicator.

The Soundscan 101 Ultrasonic Inspection System is used in many industries
throughout the world for predictive maintenance, quality control, and leak
detection. The Soundscan 101 Receiver converts ultrasound signals produced by
industrial machinery and vehicles into easily recognizable audible sounds so
the user can evaluate the condition of individual components, even in extremely
noisy plant environments. Early warning signs and defects can be detected thus
preventing costly repairs, safety related injuries, and downtime. |

SDT FLEX.US
LEAK DETECTION IS SERIOUS BUSINESS THAT REQUIRES SERIOUS TOOLS.
• Compressed air leaks account for between 30 and 40% of the total air demand in a factory. Finding and fixing leaks is the best opportunity we have for both energy and operating cost reduction.
• Detecting pneumatic leaks in vehicle brake systems is a high priority measure that ensures safer vehicles on our roadways.
• To verify the tightness of any volume (vehicles, aircraft, clean rooms, building envelope, nuclear containment walls, etc…) you need the reliability and precision of the ultrasonic testing method.
FLEX.US maintains the turbulent sound quality of a leak as it converts the ultrasonic noise to a sound humans can hear (hissing sound). Some instruments simply produce electronic signals (beeping) in the headset. These false signals do not distinguish a leak sound from other phenomena and make leak detection all but impossible.
Mounted on the end of a flexible steel pipe, the ultrasonic sensor can access any hard-to-reach location. To ensure comfort, the volume control is quickly adjusted when very loud ultrasounds are encountered. This sensitivity provides a high level of precision making leak detection a pleasure, not a chore.

Quick and easy detection of air leaks
The SKF TMSU 1 is a high quality, user friendly, sensitive instrument enabling the detection of air leaks by means of ultrasound. Leaks are caused by fluid flowing from a high pressure environment to a low pressure environment, creating turbulence. The turbulence generates high frequency sounds (so called ultrasound) that can be detected by TMSU 1. The sensitive piezoelectric crystal in the sensor allows the operator to quickly guide the instrument to the loudest point which helps locate the leak location.
TMSU 1 includes an ultrasonic detector, headset, rubber nozzle and batteries, all supplied complete in a sturdy carrying case.
- Lightweight compact design makes it easy to operate with one hand
-User friendly and easy to operate, no special training required
-Highly reliable, helps identify exact position of the leak
-Valuable instrument for enhancing machinery sustainability. By identifying air leaks and fixing them, energy consumption is significantly reduced
-Sensor mounted on a flexible tube helps enable reach in restricted areas
-Excellent quality headset for optimum sound quality even in very high-noise environments, also act as ear defenders
-Wide operating temperature suitable for diverse industrial environments |

EP512 - Ultrasonic Transmitter
EP512 is a ultra sonic transmitter. It is used for leak detection in systems that are not pressurised. The EP 512 transmitts a pulsating ultrasonic and when activated a lamp is flashing.
The transmitter can be placed inside an item to be examinated and any EP leak detecctor can be used from the outside. In case of a leak the ultrasonic pulsations will find its way out and will be easy to detect.

Ultrasonic system SDT 170 MTT
Tightness control of underground tanks and associated pipe work
Widely recognized and approved method. The SDT TankTEST method by introducing a vacuum and listening to the ultrasounds is the most reliable, most cost-effective, most rapid, most simple, most comprehensive and the most accurate.
With SDT's Graphs & Measurements software for the automatic creation of authenticated reports. All data and test measurements are stored in the detector. They can be transferred to a PC. They provide evidence of testing, measurement readings and graphics
and archiving of the performances.
Control principle
- The use of ultrasonic frequencies means a far higher level of sensitivity than is possible with audible sound.
- The pressure in the tank is reduced, and the ultrasonic vibrations caused by the passage of water, air or other substances through a hole in the tank wall are detected by two sensitive sensors, one in the liquid and the other above the level of the liquid.
- The SDT 170 MTT detects the typical frequencies of leaks in underground tanks. It measures them and converts them to audible frequencies. These are fed back in three forms: visually and measured in dBµV on the detector display, and audibly through his headphones. |
