The mining industry is normally operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in order to make an acceptable return on the high capital investments. Therefore it is of utmost importance that haul trucks are available for usage. Repair and maintenance, daily checks of oil, water and tyres are reducing the technical availability of haul trucks. The stops for safety reasons during slippery weather of the current large haul trucks have a considerable negative influence on the usage. The fact that ETF trucks can operate under slippery conditions brings already an increase in usage of 8 %. On top of this comes the savings due to hot seat shift change. This means that the operators don't have to carry out any checks during shift change. On average this saves 20 minutes per shift i.e. one hour per day. (4 %) In the downtime for maintenance it will pay off that ETF trucks don't need any oil changes!
Features:
. All-Wheel-Drive
. All-Wheel-Steering
. Multiple engines
. Automatic lifting axles during empty haul
. Major components change in 1 minutes (Engines, axles, tyres, body)
. Fast body swap system
. Higher technical availability
. Higher usage
. Safer
. Environmentally friendly |

Every ETF truck is standard equipped with a body swap system. This enables the user to change the truck body within 10 minutes. Sometimes different jobs have to be carried out by a truck. Rocks and overburden is on average double the weight of coal. When coal has to be transported it is more economical to change the rock body with a coal body, which has the double volume. Also the use of water tanks and or fuel tanks can be advantageous. Even the use of a frame to transport heavy equipment can be used. This makes the ETF truck a true multipurpose vehicle. Optimal truck utilisation is the result.
No competitor is offering this feature. |

Since their initial introduction in the late 1980%u2019s with the 712 followed by the 716 in 1990, JCB have re-launched their Articulated Dump Truck range to introduce the 714 and 718. The styling of JCB%u2019s ADT range gives away much about the design and engineering processes that lie beneath. Comfort, confidence and capability are all major factors in its make-up, branding the machines with strength, power and performance while also lending them a unique identity that set aside all JCB products from any other.
