Three-phase and neutral line filters are a compact solution for the interference suppression on the mains input of cabinets and control units of equipment, ranging from industrial applications like machine tools to sensitive medical installations. These typically involve separate and often
insufficiently filtered frequency inverters and SMPS, causing current imbalance and significant interference problems. As individual elements they may be interference-suppressed already. The conjunction of several switching components in the same cabinet and a non-EMC conscious cabling will rise the demand for an additional EMC filter on the mains input of the whole installation. Many times this is the only way to get the CE mark for the cabinet in accordance with the EMC directive. |

| Spectrum Control's low pass product offers the largest selection of resin and hermetically sealed filters. Resin sealed filters offer a wide variety of packages to accommodate your size and mounting requirements. Miniature solder-in (low profile) filters are constructed with a discoidal and are glass sealed on one end to provide a compact, low cost Pi or C filter that can be soldered into a bulkhead. High current/high voltage bolt-in filters featuring current ratings up to 100 ADC or rated voltages up to 1250 VDC. Glass seal filters are used where a rugged, hermetically sealed filter is required. They consist of discoidal capacitors with or without ferrite sleeves or wound inductors in 1/4-28 or 5/16-24 threaded cases. Through the use of discoidal capacitors and wound inductors, high capacitance and inductance values can be achieved. Hermetically sealed filters provide very high EMI filtering performance. |
|
| The Miniature Solder-in Filters and Spec Mini-Press 9000 Series provide various microwave and RF applications such as attenuators and oscillators, and the Spec Spin Filters are ideal microwave applications for commercial and hi-reliability applications. |
|
| Very compact EMI suppression components can directly be mounted on printed circuit boards of low-power office, medical, telecom and IT equipment, DC/DC converters and power supplies etc. Ideal low cost solution for manufacturers who have planned for EMC compliance throughout the equipment design process already. |

Curtis Industries, the leading manufacturer of superior quality electronic and electrical components and assemblies for more that 75 years, offers a complete line of RFI power line filters designed to make equipment meet FCC/VDE requirements on conducted EMI.
Radio frequency interference (RFI) is unwanted noise generated by a wide variety of electronic and electrical devices. Governments of most industrial countries, including the United States, Canada and many European nations, have enacted guidelines on emitted RFI. Most notable are FCC docket 20780 in the United States and VDE (Verband Deutscher Electrotechniker) 0871 and 0875 in Germany. Computing devices, industrial controls, medial instrumentation, electronic games, and other electronic devices that generate unwanted radio frequency energy greater than 10 kHz must comply with these governmental and safety agency requirements |
|
| LCR's 3 Phase EMI filters (RFI filters, EMC filters) are typically used in Power Electronic products. These EMI filters attenuate mains-borne EMI generated back into the power line. LCR's 3 phase EMI filters also protect sensitive electronics and make them less susceptible to surges, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and other harmful voltage and current surges. Typical applications for these EMI filters (RFI filters, EMC filters) are in three-phase industrial drives, controllers, frequency converters and industrial machine tools. |
