Application
The reel exhaust extractors – type ALAN are designed for extraction the exhaust
fumes emitted by vehicle’s exhaust pipe during the engine tests, adjustment and
diagnostics. They are applied in bus depots, garages and car service stations.
At economic optimal air extraction and simple use it captures the whole exhaust vol-
ume and removes them outside. The reel can be mounted directly under the ceiling
or to the wall or to column by means of a bracket set.
Structure
The reel exhaust extractor consists of a winding reel with the exhaust hose with a nozzle to connect at the vehicle exhaust pipe. The nozzle sucks in the am-
bient air, mixes it with the exhaust fumes to decrease the temperature. Exhaust extractors are adapted for hoses of diameters , 100, 125 or 150 mm. In all versions, the free overhang of the hose (fully recoiled on the reel) is 1,5 to 2
m.
The devices are produced with two sorts of reel drive:
1. Type C – spring drive for hose reeling. The hose is wound down manually and reeled up automatically upon the force of a spring mechanism. To
the equipment belong following elements:
band brake – to slow down the hose speed during winding-up,
ratchet device – which locks the hose in the required position (while it is being wound down),
rubber stopper – to be fixed on the hose, stops the hose after it is fully wound up onto the reel.
2. Type E – with electrical drive for “hose wind-up / down”. Inside the reel is placed a gear-motor (of low rotational speed and small motor rate).
Both types can be equipped with a shut-off damper which automatically opens and closes during reeling/unreeling of the hose.

Coxreels T Series "Truck Mount" spring driven hose reels are the toughest hose reels in the spring driven line. The chassis is strongly supported by dual pedestal-style arms that span from the roller guide bracket down to the sturdy mounting base. Triple support point to the shaft are complimented by Coxreels' original Super Hub support system. They are perfect to be mounted on stationary units or service and utility vehicles. This Series was engineered for low, medium and high pressure including air, water, fuel, oil and grease applications. The models are available in 3/8", 1/2", 3/4" and 1" hose I.D and accomodate 50', 75 or 100' of hose. The working pressures are available in 300, 1250, 1500, 2500, 3000, 4000 and 5000 PSI according to the desired applications.
