The GE Zenith Controls ZTS Series of transfer switches—the building block of our transfer switch product line—has become a hallmark of quality and performance. This ruggedly built power contactor family of switches is available in open construction for switchboard installation or NEMA enclosed to your specifications. They are specifically designed with dependability, versatility and user friendliness as top priorities.
The power panel components, which include power switching contacts, drive mechanism and terminal lugs, are mounted on a specially formed panel for optimum performance. Logic devices such as microprocessor control, auxiliary time delays and special accessory equipment are mounted on the door for ease of maintenance and to keep them separated from the power section. They are connected with a numbered wiring harness equipped with a disconnect plug that allows the control panel to be isolated for maintenance. |

The GE Zenith Controls ZTX Series of transfer switches is built for residential and light commercial critical/non-life safety applications requiring the dependability and ease of operation found in a power contactor switch. The ZTX transfer switches are designed for standby applications, and incorporate a double-throw, mechanically interlocked contactor mechanism.
The ZTX transfer switches are equipped with the MX60 Control Panel. This microprocessor includes:
Undervoltage sensing (90% pickup/80% dropout) of the utility source
Voltage and frequency sensing of the generator source (90% voltage/95% frequency pickup)
Time Delay Engine Start - 5 seconds (P)
Time Delay Engine Warmup - Transfer to Generator - 20 seconds (W)
Time Delay Utility Stabilization/Retransfer to Utility - 5 minutes (T)
Time Delay Engine Cool Down - 5 minutes (U)
Indicating LEDs for power availability, switch position and load energized
Pushbuttons for test, engine start (manual), generator exerciser, timer bypass and program cancel
Special status annunciation of in-phase transfer and timer operation
Selectable 7, 14, 21 or 28 day (factory set 28 days) generator exerciser timer

| The Piller Apotrans takes care of critical loads by automatically and transparently providing an alternative power source whenever the preferred power source becomes deficient. This changeover, occurring within a few milliseconds assures that the load is always fed by the optimum power supply. With Apotrans, redundancy is engineered into the power system infrastructure, giving steadfast confidence in the performance of critical operations. Apotrans provides optimum power to secure the load for continuous operation. Every time the preferred power source fails or its voltage no longer meets specified quality requirements, APOTRANS intelligently switches to the alternate source. APOTRANS automatically or manually returns the load to the preferred source once it is sensed to be stable. |
