Versatile instrument for mechanical tests: cross hatch cut, scratch (mar) resistance, scratch hardness and writing effect. Manual setting of the loading force (max. 50 N) (Model 430 P I) or motor-driven adjustment (Model 430 P II). 9 preset cross-cuts in compliance with the most commonly used standards; in addition one freely programmable cross-cut pattern. Two cutting speeds and two cutting lengths can be combined as required. Rapid clamping device for test panels and visual display upon cutting through insulating layers to metal subtrate.
