Product overviewThe Hundegger SPM-2 is a flexible throughfeed centre for fully automatic panel processing. Sawing, milling, drilling, grooving and labelling are performed to produce panels ready for installation. Designed for wall production in timber frame construction and facade engineering, the modular SPM-2 can be equipped and upgraded individually up to a flexible production cell with integrated panel storage. Different units are available for various processing tasks.

Main conceptNo other system comes close: the SPM-2 formats panels of all types and performs all necessary processing operations quickly and precisely for both individual pieces and high-volume production. Innovative panel transport removes the need for expensive vacuum clamping systems. Data required for processing can be imported automatically from CAD systems or entered at the operating terminal; the machine performs material infeed and outfeed fully automatically.

Units & optionsStandard and optional units include a 4-axis sawing unit, a 3-axis milling unit, multi-spindle drilling heads and a variety of special tools. The SPM-2 can be extended with lift tables, integrated panel storage, automatic stock management, infeed/outfeed systems and part picking to create a flexible production cell.
Software – CAMBIUMCAMBIUM is Hundegger's 3D software platform for job preparation and machine integration. It provides automatic calculations, optimization (nesting), standardized IT interfaces and the ability to map the entire production process. CAMBIUM is designed to grow with tasks and to be used either at the machine or remotely (e.g. in the office).
Processing examples / ApplicationsThe SPM-2 is suitable for timber frame wall production, facade engineering (including production from 3D laser scan data), formwork production, interior fittings, stair construction, acoustic systems and packaging/box production. Free contours used in modern timber architecture are supported.
