The 31.8-ton Carver® Hydraulic Laboratory Pellet Press is developed by Horiba Scientific. It is mainly used for tedious pressing of sample pellets for XRF, IR, and other scientific methods. The unit is a fully programmable laboratory press that accepts all SPEX sampleprep evacuable pellet die sets. It comes with a secure interlock and an automatic pump shut-off safety valve ensuring a safe operation. The system can also be operated manually as a basic motorized press whose functions are under immediate user control. In addition, the framework accepts 13 mm, 31 mm, 35 mm, and 40 mm pellet die sets. Its typical samples include cement, rock, minerals, soils, ceramics, and pharmaceuticals.
