Description

Horiba offers a wide variety of Joule-heating horizontal tube furnaces capable of rapidly achieving a temperature of 1000–1200°C,. It can also be mounted vertically with a separate control box, if required. Joule heating is through a resistance wire integrated within the ceramic work-tube, providing homogeneous heating. The temperature is monitored using a thermocouple securely placed midway between the heating coil and work-tube wall. Series MTF and CTF have the work-tube as an integral part, while G series has work-tube as a separate module. The work-tubes are generally in the diameter range of 15 to 38 mm and offer heating lengths of 130 to 400 mm. In applications requiring non-oxidizing or vacuum atmosphere, an additional work-tube with end seals can be provided.
