Surge and Noise protection is required to protect against all internally and externally generated transients. Ideally, there is surge protection for every copper wire that enters or exits a facility including data/signal lines.


The majority of transients are internally generated in most manufacturing facilities making protection at distribution branch and control panels critical. If low voltage data/signal lines are not protected, the facility is essentially leaving a backdoor open for transients. Isolated equipment level protection helps reduce electrical line noise.
