The BM6X Series axial flow slam-shut valve by Emerson is a mechanical shutoff device that is ideally appropriate in installing as a security tool in regulating gas transfer and distribution lines. It is equipped with slam-shut valves that will shut-off the flow of gas whenever the pressure is rising above or falling below the predefined levels. The valves have a wafer type design with an off-center butterfly disk so it can be mounted eccentrically. These valves will shut-off automatically when gas flows. This can only be reset manually. The BM6X series slam-shut valves operates through gas from the gas line thus it doesn't need outside sources to operate.
