Description

Overview
Ultra-compact and easy to operate via a smartphone-style interface, the ADT 222 is a documented multifunction calibrator for sourcing, simulating and measuring pressure, temperature and electrical signals. Data logging of planned and completed calibrations makes it suitable for turnkey calibration workflows.

Functions
  • Source, simulate and measure: mV, mA, Ohms, RTD, thermocouples, frequency and pulses.
  • Simulates and measures 13 types of thermocouples and 11 RTDs for transmitter and recorder calibration.
  • Measures and sources pressure using PM160 digital pressure modules (range -1 bar to 700 bar).
  • 24 V loop power supply.
  • Simultaneous read/output capability.
  • Automatic switch testing.
  • Square-wave signals.
  • Pulse and frequency generation for calibrating counters and totalizers.

Cold-junction compensation
  • Internal equivalence block for thermocouple cold-junction compensation.
  • Resistive sensing element with flexible lead installed in the equivalence block; removable for user ice-point calibration.

Display and interface
  • 3.5" color TFT display.
  • Multilingual interface: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese.

Document management and automation
  • Management of information for the device under test.
  • Setup of automated calibration procedures: test execution, error calculation, display and storage of results, indication of out-of-tolerance points.
  • As-found / As-left functions for recording and documenting results.
  • Download of tasks and results.
  • "Snapshots" function to capture and save work.

Ruggedness and protection
  • Robust design suited to harsh environments; passed a 1 m drop test.
  • Protection against misuse: tolerates up to 30 V on connectors and up to 1 A on power sockets without damage; automatically recovers when voltage/current is removed.

Battery
  • Rechargeable Li‑ion battery providing up to 15 hours of continuous use (reduced autonomy when 24 V function is used).
  • User-replaceable battery.

Included accessories
  • 110 V/220 V AC adapter.
  • Rechargeable Li‑ion battery (included).
  • Test leads (2 sets, 4 pieces).
  • Shorting cable (set of 2).
  • User manual.
  • NIST-traceable calibration certificate.

Note
The PM160 range of digital pressure modules enables absolute, gauge and vacuum pressure measurements from -1 bar to 700 bar with a typical stated accuracy of 0.025% full scale, including 1-year stability and calibration uncertainty.
