OverviewThe CC613 is the next-generation intelligent charge controller and the central controller for an EV charging station. It communicates with the vehicle and backend, monitors internal hardware and user interfaces, and supervises the connection between charging station and vehicle. The enclosure integrates an Ethernet interface while retaining dimensions compatible with the CC612 for retrofit. The controller supports ISO 15118 Powerline Communication (PLC), DC fault current detection via an external current transformer, integrated dynamic load management (DLM), optional integrated 4G modem and software updates via USB, Ethernet or OTA.
Key Integrated Functions- Integrated dynamic load management (DLM) for optimal distribution of available power among charging points; operable locally or by a higher-level system
- Integrated Powerline Communication (PLC) per ISO 15118 for Plug & Charge / autocharge
- Integrated emergency opener to mechanically release the plug in case of station power failure (actuator control and 12 V monitoring)
- Smart-Grid capable via OCPP 1.5 and 1.6 (JSON and SOAP) and support for EEBUS
- Integrated 6 mA DC fault current detection/monitoring (patented) enabling the use of RCD type A with external RDC-M and CT
- PE monitoring and weld-check detection for contactor/load switch faults
- Ethernet interface and selected variants with integrated 4G modem (supports LTE/UMTS/GSM)
- Software updatable via USB, Ethernet or over-the-air (OTA)
Features (additional / detailed)- Charge controller compliant with IEC 61851-1 (charging mode 3)
- Configurable master/slave operation for two charging points (one device may act as data gateway with modem)
- Support for residual direct current monitoring module (RDC-M); different CT cable lengths available
- 3 USB interfaces: 1 CONFIG for local configuration and update installation plus 2 USB host interfaces
- Control Pilot and Proximity Pilot communication; configurable support for additional SCHUKO sockets
- Meter interfaces: Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU; external Modbus for a second meter for DLM
- User interface module support (RFID, LED, antenna) and configurable 2-channel I/O extension
- Internal temperature sensor to reduce charging current depending on ambient temperature
- Integrable in single- or three-phase systems up to 80 A
Applications- Electric vehicle charging stations, wallboxes and street-light charging points
