Description

Product overview
The ÖWAMAT® is a proven oil‑water separation system for dispersed and emulsified condensates from compressed air systems. Available in several sizes and in versions with or without free oil separation, it is approved for synthetic and mineral oils and for condensate from piston and screw compressors. Approved versions do not require a water‑law permit and allow treated condensate to be discharged to sewer where regulations permit.

OWAMAT® 10 — Key information
Model: ÖWAMAT® 10. Nominal flow: 2.4 m³/min. Cost‑efficient on‑site solution for processing dispersed and emulsified condensates. Designed for decentralised operation, regulatory conformity and simple site maintenance.

Function of ÖWAMAT®
The oil‑containing condensate enters under pressure and is first depressurised in the pressure relief chamber to avoid turbulence in the downstream separating tank. Coarse particles are retained in a removable receiver. In the separating tank oil rises by gravity and is collected in a spillproof oil receiver.

Maintenance and routine checks
  • Weekly wastewater test: fill the test glass at the sampling valve and compare turbidity to the reference jar; clearer than reference = filter OK, cloudier = change filter.
  • Do not pour foreign liquids into the pressure relief chamber as this can impair filter performance.
  • Before maintenance: shut off condensate inlet (and, if necessary, stop compressor).
  • Inspect hoses and hose connections regularly.

QWIK‑PURE® — Overview (product family)
QWIK‑PURE® is an active cartridge‑based oil‑water separator family. Absorbed oils are bound in hermetically sealed cartridges. Device status and remaining cartridge capacity are shown on a control panel (LED bar). Cartridge changes are guided, safe and convenient (residual condensate is expelled by small air bursts, integrated bottom valves and sealed cartridge removal). Max cartridge weight when saturated ≈ 25 kg. The system supports modular capacity scaling, guided service, local WLAN for service tasks and fail‑safe behaviour (in power loss it operates like a conventional gravity separator).

General features & benefits
  • Suitable for dispersed and emulsified condensates.
  • Approved for synthetic and mineral oils and for condensate from piston and screw compressors.
  • Approved versions may not require a water‑law permit.
  • QWIK‑PURE®: modular cartridge concept, easy capacity scaling, identical cartridge across models simplifies procurement and stocking.

Replacement parts
Replacement cartridges for QWIK‑PURE® and exchange filter sets for ÖWAMAT® are available to maintain performance and ensure continuous separation.
