BERG MASTER CONTROLLER FOR GROUP SCREW COMPRESSORS
The BERG Master Controller is an additional function of the RC-S series master controllers that allows duplicating the control panel on a PC or mobile device. This function can be implemented on new controllers and on existing controllers used to manage a specific group of compressors.

The RC master control unit is responsible for:

• controlling the start/stop sequence of compressors installed in a compressed air network,
• monitoring and maintaining correct pressure in the system,
• optimally distributing load between individual compressors,
• allowing selection of the lead compressor,
• setting pressure start/stop thresholds and entering system control parameters,
• collecting and processing information from the monitored system and handling signalling (in RC-S),
• remote monitoring of system status via the installed web interface and/or via Modbus TCP (optionally Modbus RTU over RS485) (in RC-S)

Using the RC master controller for a compressor group removes the need for operator adjustment of settings and enables even load distribution across compressors. Group control is possible in sequence mode or cascade mode.
Sequence control is recommended for compressors of comparable size, where operating times are balanced. Cascade control is intended for machines of different sizes, where one machine runs continuously and others operate only during peaks in compressed air demand.
