Overview
Cobra® flame-retardant cable ties manufactured in Polyamide 6.6 (PA66), natural/white color, with UL94 V-0 flammability rating. Tooth-and-rack locking system for secure fastening across a range of diameters. Suitable for manual installation or with dedicated installation tools. Available in multiple sizes and tensile strength classes to match application requirements.

Safety / Performance
Self-extinguishing material formulated to meet V-0 behavior: the material self-extinguishes quickly after flame removal and does not produce flaming or incandescent droplets that could propagate a fire. Halogen-free options reduce toxic or corrosive fumes, making these cable ties suitable for enclosed spaces and transport applications with elevated fire-safety requirements.

Applications

• Binding, fastening and sealing of cables and harnesses; single-use ties (non-reusable once tightened).
• Electrical installations where cable bundles must be secured and fire-safe behavior is required.
• Enclosed spaces and transport environments (e.g. tunnels, trains, public buildings) where halogen-free self-extinguishing materials are preferred.

Method of use

• Wrap the cable tie around the items to be fastened and insert the tail into the head up to the pre-engagement tooth.
• Position elements as needed; a slight pull allows repositioning before final tightening.
• Pull the tail on the knurled section until fully tightened.
• Cut off the unused protruding tail.

Operating temperature
General service range: -40 °C to +85 °C.

Chemical resistance
Good: resistance to bases, oils, greases, petroleum-based solvents, alcohols and ketones.
Limited: limited resistance to acids.
Not resistant: phenols.
