Cobra® Type 1 identification cable ties feature an integrated under-head writable marker plate (25.4 × 8 mm) moulded as part of the tie. The marker lies flat against the cable bundle when tightened, enabling compact identification without lateral projection. Manufactured in polyamide 6.6 (PA6.6) in natural colour, the tag surface accepts permanent markers and self-adhesive printed labels.

Marker plate position and design
The Type 1 marker plate is integrated on the underside of the head and sits against the cable bundle when installed. The smooth writing surface is moulded in one piece with the tie to maintain a low profile.

Choosing the right identification tie (brief)

• Type 1 (under-head): Tag faces the bundle; suitable where a low-profile identification is required or where projecting tags may interfere with adjacent components.
• Type 2 (above-head): Tag faces away from the bundle toward the viewer; best for readability in open installations, cable trays and racks.
• Type 3 (under-head large): Larger tag area for additional text, barcodes or QR codes; same under-head position as Type 1.
