Product overviewThe CLIMAX FF5000 flange facer is a compact, low-profile pneumatic machine for fast, accurate flange facing in the field or shop. Its two-piece mounting chuck enables quick setup and precise alignment, reducing downtime during maintenance and repair. Engineered for portability, the FF5000 is lightweight and suited to tight work areas while supporting precision facing, beveling and turning on valve, pipe and pump flanges. Facing capacity: 5–24 in (127–609.6 mm).
Applications- Precision facing of valve, pipe and pump flanges
- Beveling and turning operations on flanges
- Field and shop maintenance and repair where portability and low profile are required
Product advantages- Quick setup and removal: separate mounting chuck; centering and leveling performed on the chuck; loosen one bolt to remove the machine without disturbing alignment or calibration.
- Lightweight: machine body ~60 lb (27.2 kg); smallest mounting chuck ~5 lb (2.2 kg).
- Low profile: right-angle motor mount; machine extends only 7.6 in (193.0 mm) above the flange.
- Safe, quiet operation: stationary feed-rate selector; machine controlled without touching moving parts; exhaust air routed through the body for increased muffling.
- Simplified controls: single selector switch for bidirectional radial feed or vertical down-feed; one wrench size for clamping jaws and body draw bolt.
- Chamfer and groove cutting capability: compound tool head and down-feed for cutting angles and grooves.
