The Dieffenbacher Fibercon consolidates tailored blanks into near-net-shape laminates with excellent quality and very low void content. During consolidation, single layers are laminated together under temperature and pressure. Vacuum is used to achieve exceptionally good material properties for high-quality components despite very short cycle times. The Fibercon can be integrated into your overall process as a complementary process line to the Fiberforge system.
Your benefits with Fibercon system
Higher component quality due to a vacuum that reduces air inclusions to a minimum
Shorter cycle times, due to simultaneous processing of several layups
Wide range of applications, thanks to high-temperature materials (up to 400°C)
Flexible in the contour of the scrim
Porosities < 1% achievable
Perfect fiber alignment, no squeeze flow and no fiber ondulations
Technical data Fibercon

ibercon with Flex Option
Flexible sheet simplifies geometry- and thickness-independent consolidation
While in the standard version the vacuum consolidation of the tape layups takes place between two frames with transparent glass inserts, in the new Fibercon Flex version, the upper frame is equipped with a flexible sheet that automatically adapts to the contour of the tape layup. Variable layup thicknesses and geometries of up to 4 mm can thus be consolidated in very high quality without any inserters or component-specific tools.
