Description

Overview
The self-climbing forming and working platform SCP provides a fully enclosed, weather-protected workspace for high-rise core construction. Powerful hydraulic cylinders lift the platform, suspended formwork, equipment containers and concrete placing booms in a single crane-less lift to the next casting section.

Key benefits
  • High safety: fully enclosed levels and integrated stair towers, ladders and access platforms reduce fall hazards and allow safe working at height;
  • Rapid working: push-button climbing enables quick repositioning in few operational steps and short forming cycles thanks to easily openable suspended formwork;
  • Outstanding cost-efficiency: reduces crane dependence by carrying heavy payloads during climbs and adapts to project needs via a modular suspension system.

System — Two construction methods
  • Advancing core: core area is formed ahead of trailing floors to separate workflows and speed execution;
  • Floors and walls cast in one pour: monolithic casting of slab and wall in one step for compact logistics and fast progress.

Logistics & operation
The platform supports high service loads to reduce ground storage. Reinforcement and preparation work can be performed on the platform to shorten cycles. Deeply suspended working platforms allow finishing trades to work in shafts while concreting continues.

Operation
  • Hydraulic cylinders lift working platform and formwork in a single cycle;
  • Climbing and repositioning are controlled by push-button operation;
  • Closed platform levels and generous stripping paths provide working conditions comparable to ground level.

Site workflows
  • (A) Deck openings simplify material handling and installation of fitted elements such as stair flights;
  • (B) Safe access routes provided by stair towers on and inside the platform;
  • (C) Near-platform storage areas with high live-load ratings shorten crew distances;
  • (D) Integration of concrete placing booms optimises construction sequence.
