Description

Overview
The Doka composite forming carriage is a travelling carriage designed for fast, safe construction of steel‑composite bridge decks. It carries a large, pre‑assembled deck formwork area that can be cycled without dismantling, enabling efficient weekly concreting cycles and movement of the entire unit in one piece.

Key benefits
  • Reduced capital expenditure through use of rentable standard components
  • Smooth construction workflow with easy handling and rapid formwork closing/opening
  • Customisable solutions to fit differing bridge geometries

System (simple system grid)
The longitudinal grid is set by a 5.00 m long × 2.00 m high longitudinal girder. Transverse adjustment is achieved by two transverse frameworks joined by a compensation zone. Adjustable spindle struts and numerous bolting positions in the steel girders provide optimum adaptability. The System beam 5.00 m NG enables even more flexible positioning of the transverse framework.

Safety on the structure
Suspended finishing‑work platform levels deliver a high standard of safety. With a few additional safety components the carriage can be enclosed for complete perimeter protection; underslung variants provide barrier‑free access to the roadway where required.

Roller supports for inside formwork
  • Enable forward‑jacking of the inside formwork using a roller‑drawer principle for efficient repositioning

Unlimited adjustability options
  • Cantilever arm formwork adjustable in all directions via spindle struts
  • Two‑part anchoring system allows simple, fast closing and opening of formwork

Formwork types & solutions
  • Overslung composite forming carriage — standard type for fast, safe construction of concrete decks on steel superstructures
  • Underslung composite forming carriage — provides unobstructed access to the deck, suited to wide bridge cross‑sections
  • ParaTop crane‑shiftable solution — for shorter superstructures and medium spans with few repositioning cycles
  • Cost‑saving custom solutions available on request for constrained spaces or special cross‑sections

Technical specifications
  • Product type: Travelling composite forming carriage for steel‑composite bridges (deck concrete on steel superstructure)
  • System grid longitudinal increment: 5.00 m (longitudinal girder)
  • Longitudinal girder height example: 2.00 m
  • System beam: System beam 5.00 m NG (enhanced transverse flexibility)
  • Formwork handling: Large pre‑assembled deck formwork area cycled without dismantling
  • Adjustability: Adjustable spindle struts; multiple bolting positions; compensation girders for transverse adjustment
