The D series toroidal current transducers, designed to work with the DER3, DER3B DUAL and DER3B MED differential relays, detect zero-sequence/differential currents dispersed towards earth. In addition to the normal leakage current measurement winding, they are also equipped with a test winding. The transducers must be installed upstream of the line or loads to be protected and monitored. All the active conductors (phase and neutral) of the single-phase or three-phase lines must pass inside.
