Tin Plated Hose Couplings
The 'JIG' guidelines of major oil companies and armed forces (e.g. US-MIL) recommend to avoid 'non-ferrous metals' for components which are in contact with aviation fuel (JET A1, AVGAS).
Hose fittings for petroleum based products are usually made of brass, a copper alloy known as non-ferrous metal. To meet the mentioned guidelines, hose fittings can be tin plated; alternatively stainless steel fittings can be used.
We do offer brass hose end couplings also as tin plated ("Sn") version for aviation fuelling purposes. Most sizes are available ex stock.
