Product overview
SFV-AF breather caps (registered design) for hydraulic reservoirs and similar equipment. Technopolymer (PA) construction with integrated calibrated overpressure valve, splash guard and high-efficiency polyester air filter (3 µm). Designed to limit fluid ejection under strong splashing while preventing dust ingress and oil loss.

Main features

• Registered design: SFV-AF series.
• Function: safety breather cap with calibrated overpressure valve to release excess internal pressure and prevent contamination and oil loss.
• Internal geometry reduces external leakage even under strong fluid projections.
• Threaded fitting includes an integrated hexagon to allow higher tightening torque and improved gasket compression.
• High-filtration polyester air element, nominal 3 µm (efficiency >98%).

Materials and construction

• Cover: polyamide-based (PA) technopolymer, black RAL 9005, matte finish; laser-engraved graphic symbols (standard).
• Threaded fitting: PA technopolymer with splash guard and hexagon nut, black semi-matte finish.
• Gasket: NBR synthetic rubber flat washer.
• Overpressure valve: technopolymer valve body with NBR O-ring; stainless steel spring set to the specified cracking pressure (e.g. ~0.350 bar or ~0.700 bar depending on execution).
• Air filter: polyester element, nominal filtration 3 µm (efficiency >98%).

Standard executions / variants

• SFV-AF-350MB: valve opens when pressure exceeds 0.350 bar (set at 350 mb).
• SFV-AF-700MB: valve opens when pressure exceeds 0.700 bar (set at 700 mb).

Applications

• Suitable for gearmotors, variators, compressors and other reservoirs where internal pressure must be regulated.
• Allows expulsion of excess air to re-establish set pressure values while preventing contamination and oil loss.

Performance and limits

• Maximum continuous working temperature: 100°C.
• Air flow rate: defined by manufacturer diagrams as a function of pressure differential (refer to product technical documentation for flow curves).
