OverviewODYSSEY® Extreme Series™ batteries combine high cranking power and deep-cycle reserve in a sealed TPPL AGM design. Using 99% pure thin‑plate pure lead (TPPL) construction, they produce engine‑cranking pulses up to 2700 A for 5 seconds and can withstand up to 400 charge‑discharge cycles at 80% depth of discharge. The sealed Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) dry‑cell construction permits flexible installation orientations, including side mounting.
Highlights- Massive starting power: engine cranking pulses up to 2700 amps for five seconds
- Extreme temperature tolerance: -40°F (-40°C) to 140°F (60°C) for non‑metal jacket models; -40°F (-40°C) to 176°F (80°C) for metal jacket models
- Longer design life: 8–12 years design life; typical service life 3–10 years
- Vibration resistant: protection against high‑impact shock and vibration
- Cycle capability: up to 400 charge‑discharge cycles to 80% depth of discharge
