Description

The high-pressure delivery unit HPCU 200 enables a liquid supplied under a pre-pressure of approx. 2 to 4 bar to be modulated and conveyed to a pressure of up to 200 bar. Part of the system is an electric motor with frequency converter, as well as an integrated mounting device for the gearbox and one or optionally two high-pressure pumps (HPPx1 or HPPx2). The basic version of the HPCU has a hose connection for the low-pressure inlet (interface 2) as well as a connection for the high pressure line (interface 3) provided. The volume flow is freely adjustable via the speed of the electric motor. The setting can be made during operation either using the handheld control unit or PC software (interface 1). Programming via PLC is also possible for automated operating point setting.  The HPCU 200 Basic is easy to transport and can be operated in a 230 V / 50 Hz or in the US with a 240 V; 3 phase; 3 wire power network. The desired volume flow depends on the speed of the pump shaft (s). Since the electric motor shaft is coupled to the pump shaft via a gear unit with a fixed transmission ratio, the volume flow is set via the speed setting on the electric motor or its frequency converter. The standard ratio is i = 1 (n_motor / n_pump). In operation with 230V / 50 Hz, the speed of the electric motor is limited to approx. 2,880 rpm. A different transmission ratio can be selected on request, for example to achieve higher pump speeds and thus higher volume flows. The specification of the target speed is easily done using a handheld device or, alternatively, software-controlled using a PC or PLC.
