Technical descriptionThe Series 835 point force transducers are designed to measure static compression and tensile forces. They are mechanical instruments suitable for temporary force checks where straightforward measuring techniques with good accuracy are sufficient. The low-profile force application points allow use in confined spaces where larger instruments cannot be installed, for example to measure and monitor electrode pressures on spot welding machines.
Design and functionForces applied to the contact points deform a slot, causing a precision-ground measuring needle with a conical sensor to move and actuate a dial gauge indicator. Compression forces are displayed clockwise; tensile forces are shown counter-clockwise.
Special versionsCustomized variants can be supplied for specific applications, such as measuring tension on continuously running wires or fitted with tension shackles for overhead-line installation at prescribed strain values.
