Redundancy or power boost – for fail-safe DC power supplies up to 400 VDC / 50 A – robust industrial design
The RZM400-50M redundancy module from FEAS decouples two power supplies of the same type and enables redundancy operation or an increase in available output power through parallel operation. If one power supply fails due to a loss of mains voltage or a fault, the second one automatically takes over the supply to the load without interruption. This is provided that one of the power supplies used is capable of meeting the total current demand of the loads. This significantly enhances the operational reliability of industrial systems.
Up to 400 VDC / 50 A
The DC redundancy module is designed for 100 to 400 VDC. It supports input currents of up to 2 × 25 A and enables an output current of up to 50 A. Backfeeding between the power supplies is reliably prevented.
LED indicators and relay signals
Normal operation and faults are indicated by four-colour light-emitting diodes respectively. Fault thresholds for the input power supplies can be set using potentiometers. If the voltage falls below this setting, the fault is indicated visually and via a potential-free contact. A built-in temperature monitoring system signals an excessive rise in temperature by opening the two signal contacts.
Robust industrial design
Thanks to its robust, fully encapsulated industrial design, the module is suitable for automation systems, power systems and industrial applications with high demands in terms of reliability, environmental conditions and continuous operation.
The RZM400-50M is part of FEAS’s portfolio of redundancy modules for industrial power supplies.
