Horizontal Winch A 12v DC horizontal electric winch is a battery powered device that is used to pull loads horizontally. It is commonly used in a variety of applications, including: - Towing vehicles: If a vehicle gets stuck in mud, snow or rough terrain, an electric winch may be the best remedy to get it out. - Loading boats and trailers: They can be used to load boats, trailers and other heavy objects. - Moving logs and other heavy objects: Handling logs, rocks or other large objects can be easily facilitated by the use of an electric winch. - Equipment placement: Used to place heavy equipment, such as generators or air conditioners. To allow the correct winding of the cable on the drum the winch has a cable-guide device and upper limit switch. When the cable is live the anti-winding device is operated. The machine is powered by a powerful permanent magnet electric motor. The cable is made of resistant steel and allows a nominal horizontal pull of 450/900 - 2000 - 2720 Kg. (depending on the model) The winch is able to operate in an outdoor environment, provided it is protected from the weather, in particular from rain and strong wind.
