Tacchella Elektra universal grinding machines are the ideal solution for a wide range of requirements, such as grinding shafts, tool holders, workpieces for general precision mechanics, punches or pump gears – as individual pieces, in small or large quantities. Machining of different diameters or interpolations is also possible without any difficulties. These universal grinding machines can be used to clamp round, non-round and polygonal workpieces weighing up to 350 kg between the centers and grind at lengths up to 1,640 mm and heights up to 260 mm. ADVANTAGES HOW TO BENEFIT FROM TACCHELLA ELEKTRA UNIVERSAL GRINDING MACHINES ENHANCED PERFORMANCE The monobloc machine bed on Tacchella Elektra grinding machines is made of stabilized and heavily ribbed cast iron and intercepts the thermal changes and vibrations that arise during grinding to ensure outstanding quality of the ground workpieces. TOP PRECISION The grinding wheel carriage (X-axis) slides on hardened guides with preloaded roller shoes. Movement is generated by means of a high-precision recirculating ball spindle, which is coupled directly to the digital AC BRUSHLESS motor. Motion control is performed using an optical absolute measuring system. The table (Z-axis) moves on flat/ prismatic guides with an intermediate layer of low-resistance material with improved properties to prevent stick-slip phenomena. MAXIMUM FLEXIBILITY The potential for combination of different sizes, versions, and center heights means that 27 versions of Tacchella Elektra universal grinding machines are available. The tailstock is manually operated, but it can also be automatically controlled by pressing a button and via pedal controls.
