Product overviewFidia BRIDGE is a 5-axis milling center with a fixed-portal structure and a moving table. High-quality cast-iron components, optimized by FEM, provide the structural stiffness required for high-speed roughing and high-surface-quality finishing. The machine is engineered for high precision and heavy-duty production tasks.
Applications and flexibilityThe wide space between columns facilitates the handling and assembly of large or complex fixtures and parts. With the FIDIA bi-rotary head, selectable spindle options, integrated measuring systems, a tool magazine up to 60 positions and a high-pressure coolant system, BRIDGE supports production of molds, models, prototypes and structural aeronautical components.
Configuration and sizesThe BRIDGE series is offered in three axis-travel configurations and two spindle choices for the FIDIA 5-axis bi-rotary head.
Table (design and capacity)The moving table on the X-axis features T-slots for secure clamping. Full-stroke table support eliminates overhang and deviation during machining. Precision roller guides and C3-class ballscrews directly coupled to brushless axis motors ensure high dynamics, accuracy and repeatability. Kinematics are protected by stainless-steel covers to prevent contamination by dust, chips and coolant.
StructureRobust portal structure with reinforced base and dense ribbing to provide maximum rigidity and resistance to cutting loads, ensuring stable support for the worktable under heavy-duty machining.
Y, Z design highlightsThe Y-axis features a carriage supported by three roller guides on two sides of the crossbeam to maintain orthogonality. The vertical RAM has a generous section and is driven by two tandem ballscrews with brushless motors to minimize deformation and preserve consistent precision.
M5A bi-rotary headThe M5A bi-rotary head is optimized for high-speed milling and offers a compact, asymmetric cast-iron structure for thermal stability. It is suitable for machining steel, cast iron and aluminium and enables access to hard-to-reach areas.
