Product Overview These thrust screw assemblies allow straight line static load thrust without transmitting torsional or radial force to the contact area. The free-floating ball design permits the thrust screw to continue rotating while the ball remains stationary against the contact surface, making it ideal for irregular-shaped or contoured parts. Housing is alloy steel, heat treated to Rc 43/46 with a black oxide finish. The replaceable ball is retained by a Viton O-ring to exclude contaminants while allowing swivel. The abrasive surface is permanently fused to a 300 series stainless steel pad and has a texture comparable to 100 grit abrasive. Individual diamond particles concentrate holding pressure on a very small, well-distributed area to deliver superior holding with minimal surface marking. The diamond surface offers exceptional wear resistance. Replacement balls and O-rings are available separately.
