Commercial Compact and cost-effective High power density with minimum fuel consumption Up to 600-hour service intervals The NEF Series is the most extensive of FPT’s engine families for pleasure and professional marine duties, with four different displacements from 4 to 6,7 liters, available in mechanical and electronic versions. The professional range of NEF engines, covering power outputs from 63 to 390 kW, feature both advanced mechanical fuel injection and electronic Common Rail systems, and provide high, constant power and torque delivery, reliability, low fuel consumption, and low servicing costs. Heat exchanger and keel-cooled versions are available. The NEF Series is offered in high-performance light-, medium-, and heavy-duty versions, and can be customized on request. Options include electronic remote control, monitoring systems and compliance with international emission standards such as IMO MARPOL Tier 2, EU-RCD Stage 2, EU-IWV Stage V, USA-EPA Tier 3, and China GB II, and class type approval such as RINA. NEF engines offer high power outputs, with maximum torque available at low revolution range. Pleasure-duty 6.7-liter versions deliver up to 419 kW (best-in-class performance in its power range). Innovative technologies and production processes allow NEF engines to save fuel while ensuring maximum performance and reliability. Advanced diagnostic equipment allows for easier engine servicing. Up to 600-hour oil and filter replacement intervals minimize downtime. In order to reduce maintenance and increase engine lifespan, both mechanical and Common Rail engines adopt plateau-honed cylinder walls and oil-cooled pistons.
