Description

Product Overview
Super Tech LNG resilient fiber blanket is a high-performance cryogenic insulation material purpose-built for LNG storage tanks. It is made from glass fiber using an air-laid process that evenly blends fine glass fibers with resin and interlaces them in three dimensions in a single forming step.

Application
Designed to be installed between an LNG tank's inner wall and the outer filling material (expanded perlite) to maintain the cryogenic environment, reduce heat transfer, and ensure stable LNG storage.

Core Function
Installed between the outer plate of the inner tank and the expanded perlite, it provides cryogenic insulation and absorbs impact stress under different operating conditions, protecting the inner wall and maintaining the tank's overall structural safety.

Features
  • High Resilience: The resilience coefficient reaches 0.48; high resilience absorbs lateral pressure under different operating conditions, maintains material integrity, and prevents damage caused by thermal expansion and contraction.
  • Excellent Thermal Insulation: At -165°C, the LNG resilient fiber blanket has a thermal conductivity as low as 0.012 W/(m·K), significantly reducing heat transfer and improving LNG storage efficiency.
  • High Tensile Strength: The air-laid process creates a tightly interlocked three-dimensional fiber structure with tensile strength up to 28 kPa, enabling the material to withstand tensile stress during installation and service.
  • Excellent Fire and Corrosion Resistance: Rated A1 non-combustible; non-corrosive to metals including aluminum, steel and copper, supporting long-term tank safety.
  • Low Moisture Content: Moisture content as low as 0.4%, helping purge gas dry the insulation promptly, preventing frost formation on the tank and minimizing safety risks.
