Description

Introduction
The GBPI N560 2.0 Gas Transmission Rate Tester is a laboratory instrument integrating mechanical, electronic and software subsystems. It is designed for precise measurement of gas transmission rates (O2, CO2, N2, etc.) of packaging films, composite films, sheets, metal foils and packaging containers (bottles, bags, cans, boxes) made of plastics, rubber, paper and similar materials.

Test Principle
The instrument operates on the differential pressure method. The sample is clamped between upper and lower chambers; the gas circuit is evacuated to a set vacuum, then the test gas at atmospheric pressure is introduced to the upper chamber. The pressure gradient drives permeation through the sample and the system calculates the gas transmission rate from the pressure change in the lower chamber.
