OverviewnetFIELD Edge devices are intelligent data routers between the operating level (OT) and the information technology (IT) level of automated systems. Using containerized software, these devices autonomously aggregate, process, and forward IIoT data in parallel with production and control processes, enabling secure local analytics and connectivity to central systems.
Platform & OperationA secured Linux base, a web configuration interface and two independent container engines form the core of the device. Devices and one container engine can be managed remotely via the netFIELD platform. The digital workspace enables 24/7 life-cycle engineering of distributed units and their containers from a central location, simplifying device and container management to user-interface operations.
Use CasesSuitable for IIoT-supported industrial applications: on-device data mining, local preprocessing for reduced latency, forwarding processed intelligence to cloud platforms, plant optimization, anomaly detection, digital twin creation, predictive maintenance and condition monitoring workflows.
