Description

Overview
Delivering maximum power and performance for air plasma, the Powermax125® plasma system cuts thick metals fast. Able to make short work of the toughest cutting and gouging jobs, the system offers a 100% duty cycle, a 25 mm (1") mechanized pierce capability, and fast gouging metal removal. It includes Smart Sense™ technology to automatically adjust gas pressure. Eleven Duramax® Hyamp™ torch styles provide versatility for hand cutting, portable automation, X-Y table cutting, extended reach cutting, and robotic cutting and gouging.

Applications
  • Drag cutting — for dragging the torch directly across the work piece
  • Fine feature cutting — narrow kerf width with minimal dross and heat affected zone
  • Flush cutting — cutting closer to base materials using a 45° angle
  • Max control gouging — precise metal removal, shallower gouge profiles and light metal washing
  • Max removal gouging — aggressive metal removal, deep gouge profiles, extreme metal washing
  • Mechanized cutting — for portable automation and table cutting

Benefits
  • Maximum productivity: Finish jobs faster with cut speeds up to five times greater than oxyfuel on 12 mm (1/2”) mild steel; superior cut and gouge quality reduces grinding and edge prep; 100% duty cycle maximizes cutting time; multiple easy-to-use torch styles for many jobs.
  • Easy-to-use for cutting and gouging: Smart Sense™ automatically sets correct air pressure; SpringStart™ ensures consistent starts; patented drag shield reduces dross buildup for smoother drag cutting.
  • Lower operating costs: Consumable life up to four times longer than other systems in this amperage range; electrode end-of-life detection stops power when electrode is overused to protect torch and workpiece.
  • Built to handle tough jobs: Hypertherm Certified™ reliability for harsh environments; Duramax Hyamp torches designed for high-impact and heat resistance.
