This system performs circular welding of base plate to pipe and of pipe to threaded sleeve either from the top side or from inside the sleeve, enabling fast, uniform welds and protecting the operator from burns during continuous welding cycles. The unit typically operates on 380–415 V 50/60 Hz AC and is controlled by a Siemens PLC with AC inverter motor drive. Clamping and de-clamping of the job are pneumatically operated for movement of the welding torches.
