Description

Overview
The Slim PM is a compact permanent magnet holding brake for servo motors with low to medium torque requirements. It was developed as a cost-optimized and space-saving solution and uses the mechanical and electrical interface of Kendrion’s High Torque Line. This allows flexible integration into existing motor designs.

Benefits
  • Compact, high power density due to an innovative magnetic circuit
  • Common motor interface with the High Torque Line for design flexibility
  • Single-pole friction system for stable, reliable torque
  • Backlash-free torque transmission
  • Residual torque-free opening regardless of installation position
  • Wear-free during dynamic direction changes
  • Factory-ground and torque-tested brakes
  • Optional protection against bearing lubricants
  • Optional strand protection for stator wire safety
  • Optional ball bearing seat for precise centering and efficient installation

Applications
  • Automation
  • Robotics
  • Servo motor technology
  • Medical technology
