Overview VAC-V1 (EX) is a laboratory gas permeability tester using the differential-pressure method for professional determination of gas transmission rate, solubility coefficient, diffusion coefficient and permeability coefficient of films, composite films, high-barrier materials, sheets and foils. It supports tests with common gases and with flammable, explosive or toxic gases under controlled temperatures.
Product Features - Split-control architecture separates mainframe and control module to enhance operator safety during tests.
- Designed for permeability testing with flammable, explosive or toxic gases.
- Simultaneous determination of gas transmission rate, permeability, solubility and diffusion coefficients.
- Wide-range, high-precision liquid-circulation temperature controller for tests at 5℃–95℃ (±0.1℃).
- Two test-process judgment modes: Proportional Mode and Fuzzy Mode for flexible data processing.
- Expandable test range to accommodate high-permeability materials.
- Temperature-based data fitting to derive results at varied or extreme conditions.
- PC-controlled operation for automated test sequences and data handling.
- Reference film provided for rapid calibration and traceable results.
- RS232 data port and compatibility with Lystem™ Lab Data Sharing System for centralized result management.
Principle The instrument uses the differential-pressure method: a preconditioned sample is clamped between an upper (higher-pressure) and a lower (lower-pressure/vacuum) chamber. The lower chamber is evacuated, then isolated, and test gas is introduced to the upper chamber at a set pressure to form a constant pressure difference. Gas permeates from high to low pressure; monitoring pressure changes in the lower chamber yields permeability data.
Standards Conforms to relevant national and international standards: ISO 15105-1, ISO 2556, GB/T 1038-2000, ASTM D1434, JIS K7126-1, YBB 00082003.
