OverviewVAC-V2 (EX) is a laboratory gas permeability tester using the differential-pressure method for measuring gas transmission rate, solubility coefficient, diffusion coefficient and permeability coefficient of plastic films, composite films, high-barrier materials, sheets and aluminum foils. The instrument is designed to handle common gases as well as toxic, flammable or explosive gases under variable temperature conditions.
Product Features- Split control architecture separates mainframe and control module to improve test safety for hazardous gases.
- Certified for testing flammable, explosive and toxic gases (TUV/CE where applicable).
- Three independent test cells allow simultaneous measurement of up to three identical or different specimens.
- Simultaneous calculation of GTR (gas transmission rate), permeability, solubility and diffusion coefficients.
- Wide-range, high-precision liquid circulation temperature controller for tests from 5 °C to 95 °C (±0.1 °C accuracy).
- Two process judgment modes available: Proportional Mode and Fuzzy Mode.
- Extendable measurement range to accommodate high-transmission materials.
- Data fitting across temperatures to obtain results under extreme conditions.
- PC-controlled operation and automated test sequencing; RS232 port for data export.
- Reference film available for rapid calibration and verification of test accuracy.
- Compatibility with Lystem™ Laboratory Data Sharing System for unified result and report management.
PrincipleThe preconditioned sample is clamped between an upper (high-pressure) and a lower (low-pressure) test chamber. The lower chamber and system are evacuated; once the target vacuum is reached the lower chamber is closed and test gas is introduced to the upper chamber at a set pressure. A constant adjustable pressure difference is created; gas permeates from the high-pressure side to the low-pressure side and permeability parameters are derived by monitoring pressure changes in the lower chamber.
