OverviewVAC-V2 (EX)-H Gas Permeability Tester uses the differential-pressure method to measure gas transmission rate and related coefficients for common and hazardous gases. It is intended for plastic films, composite films, high-barrier materials, sheeting and aluminum foils across variable temperatures.
Product Features- Split control architecture separates mainframe and control module for enhanced operational safety.
- Designed to test permeation of flammable, explosive or toxic gases under controlled conditions.
- Performs permeability tests at normal and elevated pressures.
- Three independent test cells allow simultaneous testing of three identical or different samples.
- Simultaneous determination of gas transmission rate, permeability coefficient, solubility coefficient and diffusion coefficient.
- Wide-range high-precision liquid circulation thermostat enables testing across varied temperature conditions (5℃–95℃, ±0.1℃).
- Dual test-process judgment modes: Proportional and Fuzzy.
- PC-controlled operation with automatic test sequence and data logging; RS232 port for data transfer and Lystem™ compatibility for laboratory data management.
- Reference film available for rapid calibration and result verification.
PrincipleThe instrument mounts a preconditioned specimen between an upper and a lower test chamber. The lower chamber is evacuated and then the system is brought to the target vacuum. After sealing the lower chamber, test gas is introduced under controlled pressure into the high-pressure chamber, establishing a constant, adjustable pressure difference. Gas permeates from the high-pressure side to the low-pressure side; permeability parameters are calculated by monitoring pressure changes in the lower chamber.
