Product overviewWith the DC-Type (double-acting shock absorber), LEBEN offers a highly space-saving hydraulic industrial shock absorber suitable for a wide range of applications. The DC-Type is a double-acting COMPENSER® shock-reduction element that can be actuated alternately from both sides and corresponds in design and function to the C‑Type. The modular design allows on-site maintenance and simple repairs by customer personnel. Optional equipment examples: PU elastic impact-cap inserts for noise minimization and electronic extension monitoring (inductive or magnetic sensors). An additional accumulator can be fitted to increase gas accumulator volume and reduce retracting force in the retracted state.
Applications- Miniload systems, intralogistics and warehouse technology
- Stacker cranes and AS/RS (automated storage and retrieval systems)
- Space-saving end stop for high-rise storage facilities, small-parts warehouses and shuttle systems
- Double-acting buffer for trolleys, stackers and conveyor technology
- Shock reduction for conveyors, transfer cars and horizontal movements
- Hydraulic shock absorber for air cargo/air freight warehouses and automated warehouses
- End position damping for automation, material flow and custom machine design
Design & FunctionThe piston rod enters the metering tube; the damping medium flows from the working chamber through the throttle bores of the metering tube into the compensation chamber. The nitrogen gas between the outer tube and the metering tube is compressed and stores the energy required for retraction. During retraction, the damping medium flows back into the working chamber. The DC design enables low retracting force allowing creep-mode approach operations.
