Summary
Drip-tight, dust-tight, watertight and oil-tight pedal potentiometer. Not corded; designed for foot-operated momentary variable control.

Purpose
O Shield protection for potentiometer mechanism and operator interface.

Features & Benefits

• Rugged cast-iron treadle and housing provide stability during operation
• Neoprene cover gasket plus O-rings on the activating shaft and a separate ground screw for reliable sealing and grounding
• Three holes for rigid mounting to floor or equipment
• Specify the maximum resistance required (standard values available)

Materials

• Treadle and housing: cast iron for strength and durability
• Protected by an oversized cast aluminum shield

• Standard single 3/4-14 NPT threaded conduit entry
• Designed for use with variable-speed motor drives; available in selected 2-watt linear values
• Depressing the treadle rotates the potentiometer from zero to the selected maximum resistance; treadle is spring-loaded and returns when pressure is removed
• Auxiliary switch contact (optional) rated 15 A, 125–250 VAC; switch operates at beginning of treadle stroke; up to three SPDT switches can be added and adjusted

Options

• Special dual 1/2-14 NPT conduit entry and metric entries available to OEM on special order
• Standard potentiometer values: 5,000 Ω or 10,000 Ω; other values available by special order
• Models available with cast aluminum base and covers (except unshielded cover, which is gray iron)
