Product informationThe press-locked grating is the most commonly used grating type across many European markets. Its production method, which differs from press-welded grating, allows a wide range of mesh patterns, bearing bar heights and thicknesses. Combined with multiple material options, press-locked grating can be configured to meet specific application and customer requirements. If required, anti-slip versions are achievable by notching bearing and/or cross bars.
ConstructionIn press-locked grating the cross bars (typically cold-rolled flat steel) are pressed into pre-punched bearing bars. Perimeter frames are supplied as T-profiles or flat sections and are attached by resistance welding. Opposing end meshes are generally equal, but custom mesh layouts and edge details are possible to suit structural or architectural needs.
